Slippery when wet
iso 800. f 5.6, ss 1/4000This sign made me laugh. Below the surface there is a small jetty that usually sits about 4 feet above the water. This is the other river in town - It's still blocked at the mouth so the water level is getting really high. Eventually it will become high enough to force it's way though to the sea. In hind-sight I should have had a smaller aperture so the depth marker was also in focus.
iso 800, f 20, ss 1/250I love this building. I have taken this shot so many times and every time the lighting makes it look different. It is an old boat shed, but now it's a restaurant. This is was taken from the same spot as the pic above, but looking towards the mouth of the river. I hate shots like this (gray sky and small aperture) coz they show up all the dust on my sensors.
As you can see I PP them quite differently. I'm not sure if I like the first one. I wanted something kinda contrasty and funky, maybe I should have had a look for an action to run on it. Any suggestions? The second one I think I'm pretty happy with, but I would certainly appreciate any advice or suggestions.

These are great! I love the color in the first one, and the curve of the shoreline in the second.
I'm such a newbie that I really don't have any good advice, but--you might try a color pop action on the second one, just to see what happens? I think the composition is gorgeous! Ditto Lori about the curve of the shoreline--Beautiful!! I love looking at your shots--very nice every time!

I really like the composition on the second one, but I agree I might try the color pop on it. Although I find my pictures seem darker when I upload them onto Blogger, so who knows! Great captures!
