Better 1... Better 2
17-85 lens, focal length 28mm, tripod
I'm an Optometrist. I work in association with a company called OPSM. It's like Lenscrafters. In fact, we are both owner by the same Italian company - Luxottica. I love my job (most of the time).
The original of this pic wasn't very good. I think it was a bit underexposed - I should have had a longer shutter speed, after all the refractor head wasn't moving and I was using a tripod. The lighting was really bad (a fluoro on the ceiling) and the walls a dull off white. I used a lamp on the side, but I think it just made it more shadowy. I think the conversion helped, but I'm going to have to practise this indoor stuff a bit before winter. My heart goes out to you guys trying to get gym shots - my subject wasn't moving and only two foot away, and I still struggled. All HHCC and advice welcome. Tell me what ya think.

I really like the symmetry of this. If you still think it's a little underexposed, try bumping the contrast a little...
I think you did a good job with this photo. I like the simplicity of it and the B&W adds to that.
Wicked cool shot. It reminds me of pictures in the magazines I would look at while visting my grandfather when I was a little girl.
Love it!
I think you did a great job. The only thing that I though was to make the white a little brighter...maybe some more contrast.
I think it's a great shot. It could probably be lightened up a bit with curves.
Good job. Indoor stuff is really difficult to shoot. I agree with Renee, I'd up the contrast just a touch, but it looks great.
I love this picture. I have to agree that the symmetry of this shot is so neat. I have a big appreciation for this, and people like you! I think you make the world a better place and I think it's great that you thought of this. I have had 3 eye surgeries and I'm getting ready to have another. (kinda like Lazy Eye) Thanks for sharing!!
Perfect for Introduction Week...great shot!
I just love seeing what you will think of next! I think the conversion looks good, and I love symmetry so I am really drawn to this image.
I think its a really intersting shot. Like the conversion.
i like the conversion and i laughed when i saw this photo because i just had my eye exam today for the year. =)
Very cool, can I be you when I grow up, you have a great eye.
Great shot & conversion. Love your title, I can hear my dr. now...which one's better?
LOL
What a neat shot. I agree with others, I really like the symmetry.
Really like this photo. This would be beautiful on metallic paper
Very cool shot!!! Love it!
Woah! This really struck some emotion in me! I've worn glasses for lots of years, so this is an image I'm pretty familiar with! I always get really stressed, because I'm afraid I'm going to say "Better 1", when it's really "Better 2" and screw everything up! I love this picture!
Wow! no wonder you have an eye for photography!
