Cross

I took these this afternoon at the local cemetery. I love the sun rays in the second one, but I'm not sure about my pp. It looks kinda dull compared to the first one, but maybe the first one is OTT.

I would love some HHCC on these. I am thinking of entering in a Easter photography competition run by a local church. Do you think these are good enough? Do they fit the theme?

I LOVE the first one. Incredible. And absolutely these are perfect for the competition. I hope you win! I missed coming to your blog - but glad I got to see these beautiful pictures :)

I like them both, but I think the first one is my favorite. They both convey a lot of emotion an I think they are very appropriate for an Easter photo competition. I think your conversions add to the emotion/moodiness of the photos.

I really think the first one is an exceptionally strong image. I would enter it for sure. You may want to try adjusting the perspective to fix the appearance of the cross leaning backwards and see if you like it better. Go to http://www.adobepress.com/articles/article.asp?p=441754&seqNum=6&rl=1 What you want to be using is the lens correction filter.

That first one is incredible, would definitely enter that one into the contest. The conversion and the moody light really emphasizes the meaning of the photo. I really like your composition as well.

I like the detail on the cross in the first one. I think they would be perfect for the competition.

I agree that the first one is the stronger of the two. On the second, the background is a little too distracting for me.
The detail of the cross in the first photo is so beautiful. At first, I was wishing it was in color- but the more I looked at it, the more I liked that it is b&w- it gives more room for my feelings and thoughts to go with it.
Best of luck- these are lovely.

The first one is AMAZING! I agree that the sun rays are a little distracting in the second, but it's still a nice shot.

Patti, I think all of your photo's are excellent!
I prefer the top photo out of the two. It's very dramatic. Enter that one, its a winner!
