More eggs

Most days my chickens lay little eggs, some days they lay normal sized eggs and occasionally they lay super sized double yolk eggs. When I was a kid my grandmother had lots of chickens and it was so exciting if they laid a double yolker. I hadn't seen one of years until a few months ago we had a cartoon of store bought eggs and everyone was a double - my kids loved it. It must be the simple country girl in me, but I still get a kick out of double yolk eggs.

That is really neat. I love your stories and I always love coming to your blog. So - the double yokers are twin chicks? right?

Thanks for the comments on my pictures of Joseph. The latest one - with the blue background - is what I understand to be an ice/grunge type of background - totally photoshopped background :) Takes a while, but I like the look too! Thanks.

I like those double yolkers too! It's so great that you can have fresh eggs. I try to get eggs at the health food store, so I know they are fresh and local. I love the blue bacground and the egg cups in your photo.

OK...I am IN LOVE with this shot. Not sure if it's the eggs themselves, the way you've positioned them, or that amazing blue background. Quite honestly, I wish I had this photo to fame and hang in my kitchen.

great shot patti, so clear..here on the farm double yolkers are the only eggs we get :) all others go the hatchery, we're only allowed to keep the double yolkers.

Love the shot Patti. Lol double yolkers are a hit at our house too, we even had a double banana the other day which I hadn't seen in years.
