The top lighthouse
A few days ago I posted a pic of the bottom lighthouse across the lake, well, this is the top lighthouse. You can just see the red top on the other one in the bottom right of this pic. the composition isn't so good - a bit too dead centre. The tricky part was to avoid power lines in the shot.
iso 400, f 13, ss 1/400, 17-85mm lensI forgot to say a few things about the last few pics - too tired and rushed. The one of the lake and the lighthouse was take with my 70-200 lens. I was way over the other side of the lake trying to take pics of birds, but I had more luck with the scenery. This is another one from that outing. My DH liked this one better but I was too tired to finish pp'ing it. I love the lighting in this one.
The other girl in yesterdays pic is a friend of Joey's from dancing. They dance in the same section and her sister is Joey's teacher. She did really well yesterday - she won a championship dance and finished 3rd overall in there age group. Her tartan is also a Menzies dress, but in red. the two of them look so cute running around together in full dress.

I really like the second one...you can really get a sense of the wind. Nice job.

Love the light in the second one too. The first is interesting, but as you mentioned the lighthouse is too centered.
Maybe you could creatively crop it.
The second is beautiful, but I'm a sucker for a lighthouse, so I can't say anything bad about the first! ;)
I love the red and white in the first one. I agree that the lighting is beautiful in the second one as well as the sky. Also, cute pic from yesterday - love the kilt!

Love that lighthouse - I'm jealous of your scenery. I think you're right about it being too centered - I think you should try the lighthouse again some day because I know you're really talented and this picture isn't quite showing your full talent, if you know what I mean. I'm sure you could do more with it. Those darn power lines, don't they always darken the best pictures? Oh and I love your peppermint patti avatar - I was wondering when that would finally show up next to your name!
They never put power lines in the right place, do they? ;) Great colours though, and I like the second shot a lot.

So I'm oficially jealous of your lighthouses. I've always want to photography them. Thankfully...you do such a nice job, I can just look at yours and "pretend" they are mine;)
