Camping

This afternoon i suggested to the kids that we go camping in the backyard. Chris wasn't keen, but the girls decided that they were old enough to sleep out by themselves. That plan lastest until about dark, and then it was, "mum we're scared, come sleep with us'. It's not that I mind, I just like to be prepared, with a very soft mattress. They are asleep now, so I have snuck away for a while. Maybe I can convince DH to go sleep with them.

what a cute shot! something to definitely remember a fun night with.

i hate to sleep outside so if they set the tent up i sleep in the sunroom with all the windows opened. it's cheating, i know, but i can still hear them w/out being out there! hehehe

My kids love to sleep outside, too. Gosh, so did I when I was young. I usually make DH do what Michelle does. We live in a safe area (is there such a thing?), but I still toss and turn all night.

I love what you captured. Your kids will look at this for years to come and say, "Hey mom, remember when..."

LoL, my Aunt does this with her grandson, only instead of actually setting the tent up outside, she sets it up on their enclosed backporch! haha

cute picture and story. We camp too, but in our travel trailer RV. I don't do bugs... lol.

We're another backyard camping family, it's a great way to entertain the kids when they have friends over.
