Lunar eclipse

The lunar eclipse was at about 7-9 pm here so I thought I'd have a go at photographing it. They turned out okay, but not great. I really need a more stable tripod. I used my 70-200 f4L lens.

These are great. I just couldn't bring myself to stay up so late.

Wow--beautiful! Saw your thread on the 2Peas MB, and had to see what it looked like down under! You are so lucky that it was at such a convenient time--it totaled here about 2:30 a.m.--much to late. You have some luscious orange moons!! Nice.

Great shots Patti, mine were nowhere near this good, having tripod issues too, the tilting part of the head won't lock at a small tilt so it kept dropping down, grrrrr, I was very frustrated by the end of the night.
