People Photos -aarrgghh
As you all know people photo just isn't my thing. Basically i'm just not very good at it, but in the spirit of extending myself, i went out with my DD and gave it a go. I found some great locations and I have lots of fun post processing, but the photos, well, they just aren't very good. My focus was really off today. I was using my 50mm 1.8 lens, aperture priority with the aperture around f4. All advice and HHCC welcome. I am determined to get better at this. The first one is urban acid (yeah i know it's abit old now, but I kinda like it), the third one I used Cristina's B&W conversion.

These look great, love the second one.
These are good! I like the feel of them. She is beautiful!
Happy birhtday to your son! How fun is that :) That would be a perfect day to come and visit us in the US ;)
Taking pictures of people is hard! Getting the skin tones is tough - I have such trouble with the darker skin tones - especially my 5 year old, b/c she has yellow (so do iI)
I think your last pic of your dd came out pretty good :) When I am further away I find I have to not be so open - so for example I used F10 in my pictures from the 4th with the kids. Although I probalby should have gone to f15 or higher. I think the hardest is getting the exposure right outside for me - I tend to blow it a lot. I'm thinking of investing in Lightroom :) and CS3 to help me out.. LOL
I really miss your landscapes - I have been so behind on blogging that I haven't gone and checked everyones. Your are simply fabulous - always. They always look like they should be in a magazine or sold as postcards :) Hope you are having a great summer!
I love the first one- I don't think urban acid ever looks old, but thats just me.
